Six Whole Months is a punk rock trio hailing from Akron, Ohio.  Though the band was established only three years ago at the height of the pandemic, the members of 6WM are established as a driving force in the Northeast Ohio music scene.  

The punk rock of Six Whole Months (6WM)is a remnant from an era when wallet chains, "posers," and boy bands were all too common.  For over twenty years Joe Wallman (drums), Jon Johnson (vocals/bass), and Shane Buie (guitar) have rocked Cleveland, Canton, and Akron stages.   

If you were a music lover, you likely rocked out with the guys as they opened for acts like the Ataris, Hawthorne Heights, Further Seems Forever, Relient K, Thursday, and even Naughty By Nature. 

Musically, Wallman's powerful drumming along with Buie's aggressive guitar work is complemented by Johnson's catchy yet introspective vocals.  While honoring what came before, the singalong anthems of 6WM feel incredibly fresh in an era of convoluted pop singles and over-tracked rock & roll.  In an age of expedited media, only one thing has remained consistent, the bond of brotherhood that binds 6WM.
